Using iluvu
iluvu helps you record, organise, schedule and privately share personal video, audio and text messages. Some versions may also offer test features that create a synthetic voice or video reply from information you provide. You may use iluvu only for lawful purposes and must have the right to record, upload and share the content you choose.
Your content
You keep ownership of your content. You give Moocher Ltd and the service providers acting for it the limited permission needed to process and deliver an item or generate a reply when you choose that service. You are responsible for the people you connect with and the content you send.
Acceptable use
Do not use iluvu to threaten, harass, impersonate, deceive or exploit anyone; create a synthetic version of a person without clear permission; distribute unlawful or abusive material; infringe another person's rights; probe security; automate excessive requests; evade service limits; or interfere with the service. We may throttle, suspend or remove access needed to protect users and infrastructure. The detailed online limits form part of these terms and are set out in our Fair Use Policy.
Purchases and lifetime access
The £4.99 one-time unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase for local capsule creation on the platform where it was purchased. It does not include unlimited online uploads, permanent cloud storage, long-term cloud backup or unlimited Avatar generation. Ordinary online sharing remains subject to upload, temporary-storage, retention and request limits. Billing, refunds and restoration are subject to the relevant app store rules. Apple and Google purchases do not transfer between platforms.
Cloud backup, prepaid future storage and delivery attempts, and additional Avatar replies are separate services where offered. The app will show the relevant price and allowance before payment.
Avatar replies where available
Avatar replies are being tested and may not be available in your version. Where enabled, one reply is included per verified lifetime purchase. The included reply belongs to that verified store purchase and does not reset on reinstall or a different device. Further replies require separately purchased credits where offered.
Avatar replies are synthetic, may contain mistakes and are not a live statement from the person represented. You must have clear permission to use that person's face and voice, and you must not present a generated reply in a way that deceives or harms someone. Feature availability and any separately purchased allowance are shown in the app.
Future storage and delivery attempts
When you purchase future delivery, your payment covers storage of the message until its scheduled date and our reasonable attempts to make the message available to the chosen recipient. It does not guarantee that the recipient will receive, open, download or view the message.
Delivery may not be possible if the recipient has not installed iluvu, has not accepted or maintained an iluvu connection, changes or loses their device, disables notifications, cannot be contacted, declines the message, has died, or if the contact details or connection information supplied are no longer valid.
On the scheduled date, iluvu will use reasonable care to notify the recipient and make the message available for the stated collection period. The sender is responsible for checking recipient and scheduling details and, while able to do so, keeping them current.
If iluvu stores the message and performs the delivery attempts described above, the service has been provided even if the recipient does not collect or view it. This does not affect any statutory rights or remedies where iluvu fails to provide the purchased service with reasonable care and skill.
Keep your own copies
iluvu is designed for meaningful memories, but it is not a guaranteed archival service. Devices fail and online services can be interrupted. Keep independent copies of irreplaceable material, save generated videos you want to retain and check scheduled reminders while you are able to do so.
Availability and service protection
We work to keep iluvu available and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted delivery, instant generation or permanent compatibility with every device. We may temporarily pause new cloud uploads or generation work to investigate abuse, control unexpected processing costs or protect the service. Local app features should remain available during such a pause, and an already purchased future delivery is not cancelled merely because new uploads are paused.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, our responsibility is limited to losses that are a foreseeable result of our failure to use reasonable care.
Changes and law
We may update the app, service or these terms as genuine use, costs and threats become clearer. Material changes will be published here and notice will be given where required. Existing purchased entitlements and mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while mandatory consumer rights in your country continue to apply.
